You can drink cool or room-temperature water while wearing Invisalign, but remove the aligners for coffee and clean before putting them back.

Invisalign aligners are clear thermoplastic trays that fit over the teeth and apply planned pressure. Coffee can stain the plastic, and hot liquid can soften or distort it; sugar and acid trapped beneath a tray can contact enamel.

Take the aligners out before drinking coffee, place them in their case, and brush or rinse your mouth before reinserting them. Clean the trays as instructed.

Contact the orthodontic team if an aligner becomes warped, cracked, painful, or no longer seats fully. Seek care for new tooth pain, persistent sensitivity, gum swelling, or a lost attachment.
