Temporary Filling

A temporary filling is used when treatment is staged and the tooth needs a direct restoration before the definitive restoration can be placed. It is therefore a bridge between treatment visits.

A temporary filling is placed as an interim direct restoration while the staged treatment continues. The material is seated in the prepared tooth.

A temporary filling is intended for the short-term stage of restorative treatment. Direct restoration materials are selected for use inside a prepared tooth.
