Do clip in veneers hurt

Clip-on veneers usually do not involve drilling, but they can feel bulky, rub the gums, or make speaking and chewing awkward.

Clip-on veneers are removable dental appliances made from a thin resin or thermoplastic material that sits over existing teeth.

Because they cover rather than bond to the teeth, discomfort usually comes from pressure, an unstable fit, edge contact with the gums, or food and plaque trapped underneath. They do not correct decay or replace a dental restoration.

Remove the appliance for cleaning and sleeping unless a dentist gives different instructions, and stop using it if it causes sores or sharp pressure. Do not reshape it at home because a poor edge can injure the mucosa.

Have the fit checked if it causes pain, gum bleeding, persistent rubbing, bad taste, or difficulty closing your teeth. Existing tooth pain should be examined rather than covered.
