What dental problems can cause pain instead?
Tooth pain can arise from inflamed pulp, decay, a crack, exposed dentine, gum disease, or an abscess. Essential oil placed on the surface cannot remove decay, disinfect a root canal system, or drain an abscess.
What can you do after applying tea tree oil?
Rinse with water, keep the area clean with a soft brush, and use a cold compress outside the cheek. Do not swallow essential oil or pack it into a cavity; arrange an examination to identify the source and receive targeted care.
When should tooth pain be assessed by a dentist?
