Colgate sensitive white

Colgate Sensitive White cleans surface stain and addresses sensitivity, but toothpaste cannot whiten crowns, veneers, or fillings like natural teeth.

External stains from food, drinks, tobacco, or plaque differ from internal discoloration caused by trauma, fluorosis, ageing, or a non-vital tooth. A product label alone cannot determine which type is present.

Brush gently with a soft brush and use the toothpaste as directed, without pressing hard or adding abrasive powders. A dentist can remove calculus, diagnose the stain, check for decay, and discuss peroxide whitening or restorative options when appropriate.

Seek care for sensitivity in one tooth, pain without a trigger, visible holes, gum recession, or discoloration that appeared suddenly. Do not use whitening products over untreated dental disease.

Ask whether your discoloration is surface stain or internal colour change. Ask how existing fillings, crowns, or veneers will compare and what sensitivity plan is suitable.
