Microtight proxabrush

A micro-tight interdental brush is a small wire-and-filament cleaner for narrow spaces, and the correct size should pass gently without force or bending.

The product name refers to an interdental brush, not a separate dental procedure. Its cylindrical or tapered filaments clean plaque from spaces a toothbrush misses, including around braces, bridges, implants, or open contacts.

Choose the smallest size that reaches the space and insert it with a short horizontal movement. Do not force it through a tight contact; use floss or a smaller brush there, and replace the brush when filaments deform or the wire becomes exposed.

Ask for a dental demonstration if the brush repeatedly catches, causes lasting bleeding, scratches a restoration, or cannot enter the space. A dentist or hygienist can size each gap because one brush size may not fit every site.

Should the wire touch my teeth? It may contact the tooth lightly, but forcing the wire can injure tissue or damage a restoration. Why does one size not fit everywhere? Tooth contours, gum recession, braces, and missing teeth create spaces of different widths.
