Question and answer

Painless root canal treatment Dubai

Root canal treatment uses local anaesthetic while the dentist removes pulp, disinfects and seals canals, and restores the tooth.

The short answer

A root canal can be carried out with local anaesthetic while infected or inflamed pulp is removed, the canals are cleaned and sealed, and the tooth is restored.

What roles do nerves and blood vessels play inside a tooth?

The pulp contains nerves and blood vessels inside the crown and roots. After access through the crown, fine instruments and irrigating solutions clean the canal system before a sealing material is placed and the tooth receives a permanent restoration.

What happens during a root canal appointment?

The dentist tests the tooth, takes dental imaging, numbs the area, isolates it with a rubber dam, removes the pulp, shapes and disinfects the canals, then seals and restores the tooth. Take prescribed aftercare seriously and avoid biting hard foods until the final restoration is secure.

When should symptoms after treatment be checked?

Seek care for lingering cold or heat pain, pain on biting, swelling, a broken temporary filling, or symptoms returning after treatment. Difficulty breathing or swallowing with swelling is an emergency.

What should you ask about anaesthesia and tooth restoration?

Ask how the tooth will be numbed, whether a rubber dam and imaging are planned, what restoration is needed afterward, and what symptoms should prompt review.

Frequently asked questions

Will I feel the procedure?

Local anaesthetic is used to control pain, although pressure or vibration may still be felt during treatment.

Why can it hurt afterward?

The tissues around the root can remain irritated after treatment, but severe or worsening symptoms need review.
