An ultra-soft Colgate Wave Gum Comfort brush can suit tender gums when used with light pressure, but it does not treat the cause of gum disease.

Its fine flexible filaments are intended to reduce mechanical irritation at the gingival margin. Soft bristles cannot remove hardened calculus or treat an abscess.

Angle filaments toward the gumline, use short gentle strokes, clean every surface, and replace the brush when splayed. Do not press harder because it feels soft.

Arrange an examination for persistent bleeding, swelling, recession, pus, or pain. Sudden facial swelling or fever needs urgent care.
