Gum proxa

A proxabrush is an interdental brush for cleaning between teeth, around braces, or beside dental work when the size fits.

An interdental brush has small bristles on a wire or flexible core. It cleans plaque from spaces a toothbrush may not reach, including around orthodontic brackets, bridges, implants, and wide gaps.

Choose a size that passes with light resistance and does not force the wire against the gum. Insert it horizontally or as directed for the site, move it in and out gently, rinse it, and replace it when bristles bend or wear.

Ask for a dental demonstration if the brush catches, bends, causes pain, or repeatedly makes the gums bleed. Persistent bleeding, swelling, recession, or food trapping can indicate gum disease, an open contact, or a restoration that needs assessment.

Ask which brush diameter fits each gap and whether you need floss, a water flosser, or another cleaner in different areas. Ask how to clean around any implant, bridge, retainer, or brace.
