LED whitening results and risks depend mainly on the gel, exposure, tray fit, and the condition of your teeth and gums, not the light alone.

An LED device emits visible light near the teeth while a product may contain peroxide gel. The light does not repair decay or change the shade of fillings, crowns, or veneers, and poorly fitting trays can expose the tongue or gums.
