Remove Invisalign aligners before drinking coffee, because heat, staining liquids, and sugar can affect the trays and teeth.

Clear aligners are thermoplastic trays designed to apply controlled forces to teeth. Coffee is hot and often acidic or sweet; while trapped beneath a tray, its contact with enamel lasts longer, and pigments can discolor the appliance.

Take the trays out, store them in their case, and drink coffee without them. Afterward, rinse your mouth and the aligners with cool or lukewarm water, brush when practical, and resume wear according to the orthodontic plan.

Contact the orthodontic team if a tray warps, cracks, no longer seats, develops a sharp edge, or becomes persistently stained. Ask for advice promptly if removing trays repeatedly is making the prescribed wear schedule difficult.
