Invisalign before-and-after changes depend on the starting bite, planned movements, and consistent aligner wear.

“Before and after” means comparing the teeth and bite before clear aligner treatment with their position after the planned series. Photographs, scans, and sometimes radiographs show changes in tooth position, spacing, rotation, overbite, and jaw relationship; a social-media image is not a treatment plan.

Have an orthodontic assessment with photographs, an intraoral scan, and any needed radiographs. The clinician plans staged tooth movements, checks the roots and gums, provides each aligner, and reviews progress so attachments, refinements, or a different approach can be considered when needed.

Arrange dental or orthodontic care if teeth are painful, loose, difficult to clean, or if the planned movement is not progressing. Seek prompt care for facial swelling, fever, severe pain, or an injury, because those problems need assessment apart from the cosmetic result.

Ask which teeth and bite problems the plan will address, whether attachments or enamel reduction are needed, how progress will be checked, and what retainer plan follows active treatment.
