Sonicare gum

A powered brush moves or oscillates the bristles for you, while the gum margin is the junction where plaque commonly accumulates. Pressure, bristle stiffness, brushing angle, and gum condition determine how the brush contacts enamel and gingiva.

Use a soft replacement head, place it at the gum line without scrubbing, and let the motor work as you move tooth by tooth. Clean the outer, inner, and chewing surfaces, and use floss or an interdental brush for contacts; replace a worn head according to the manufacturer’s instructions.

Arrange dental care if brushing causes persistent bleeding, recession, soreness, ulcers, tooth sensitivity, or a change in gum shape. Bleeding that continues despite gentle plaque control may reflect gingivitis, periodontal disease, trauma, or another condition.
