For a Class II overbite, orthodontic elastics can connect the upper front-side teeth to the lower back teeth to guide the bite while braces move the teeth.

Class II describes a forward relationship of the upper teeth or jaw; overbite describes vertical overlap of the front teeth. Elastics apply force between the arches.

Keep the area clean, avoid force or improvised household adhesives, and follow the product or orthodontic instructions. A dentist can examine the anatomy, take radiographs or scans when indicated, and select treatment based on the cause.
