A dental flipper is a lightweight removable partial denture, usually made from acrylic resin, with a replacement tooth held by a pink acrylic base. Its surface can retain plaque, food debris, and staining around the artificial tooth and clasps.

Remove it before cleaning, rinse away loose debris, and brush all surfaces over a basin of water or a folded towel. Use cool or lukewarm water, never hot water, and follow the laboratory or dentist instructions for soaking products.

Seek care if the flipper develops a crack, rough edge, odour that persists after cleaning, or causes redness and ulcers. Do not adjust, bend, or glue it yourself because small changes can injure the mucosa or alter the bite.
