Fine dental floss is a thin filament used to clean plaque and food from the contact areas between teeth and along the gum margin.

A fine floss product is suited to tight contacts when it can pass without snapping into the gum; it cleans surfaces a toothbrush cannot reach.

Guide the floss through the contact with a gentle sawing motion, curve it around each tooth in a C shape, and use a clean segment as you move around the mouth.
