Sores around lips

Sores around the lips may come from chapped skin, cold sores, contact reactions, trauma, or another skin or mouth condition.

Grouped blisters, a corner crack, and an ulcer inside the lip have different locations and appearances, so duration and recurrence matter.

Keep the area clean, avoid picking or sharing lip products, protect dry skin with a bland barrier, and note triggers.
