Smile Brite may describe a peroxide whitening product or service, so its effect depends on the exact system used.

Product names can describe different kits, clinics, or whitening systems. Tooth whitening changes the colour of natural enamel and dentine with a peroxide gel; it does not whiten fillings, crowns, veneers, or other restorations.

Identify the exact product and active ingredient, then have the teeth, gums, existing restorations, cavities, cracks, and sensitivity assessed. A clinician may clean surface deposits first and choose a tray, in-office gel, or another plan based on the examination.

Seek dental care before whitening if you have toothache, untreated decay, gum bleeding, exposed roots, cracks, or marked sensitivity. Stop the product and arrange review if it causes persistent pain, gum burns, or an uneven colour change.

Ask what the product contains, whether your restorations will change colour, how sensitivity will be managed, and whether a dental examination is needed before use.
