Laser deep cleaning gums
Laser-assisted gum treatment uses focused light during periodontal care, but it does not replace diagnosis, calculus removal, or daily plaque control.

A dental laser delivers light energy through a fibre or handpiece to selected soft tissue. Depending on the system and treatment plan, it may be used around periodontal pockets after instrumentation, while conventional ultrasonic and hand scaling remove the calculus that a laser cannot simply substitute for.
What does the dentist assess before deep gum cleaning?
The clinician first records pocket depths, bleeding, recession, mobility, plaque, and relevant radiographs. Treatment may then combine local anaesthesia, scaling and root planing, selective laser use, irrigation, and a review of healing and home cleaning.
