Sudden facial swelling, difficulty swallowing, or difficulty breathing needs urgent dental or medical care.

Ask which interdental tool matches each area of your mouth, whether your flossing technique is traumatising the gum papilla, and whether bleeding is coming from plaque-related inflammation, calculus, a trapped filling edge, or another local problem. If the floss repeatedly shreds, ask whether a contact point or restoration needs checking.
