What are clear braces made of

Clear braces usually use tooth-coloured ceramic or polycrystalline alumina brackets with an orthodontic archwire and ligatures.

The bracket is bonded to the tooth and the archwire guides movement. This fixed material is different from the thermoplastic used for removable clear aligners.

Brush around each bracket, clean under the wire, and avoid hard or sticky foods. An orthodontist adjusts the wire and checks movement at review visits.
