Corsodyl may help plaque-related gingival inflammation, but it cannot replace calculus removal or diagnosis of ongoing bleeding.

Corsodyl commonly contains chlorhexidine, an antiseptic for selected oral conditions; bleeding can also reflect gingivitis, periodontitis, trauma, medicines, or local dental problems.

Use it only as directed, do not swallow it, and continue gentle brushing and interdental cleaning unless instructed otherwise.

Arrange an examination for bleeding that persists or returns, especially with pockets, recession, pus, loose teeth, bad taste, pain, fever, or swelling.

Ask whether chlorhexidine is appropriate, how long to use it, and whether calculus removal is needed.
